Here are the Before photos of The Wild Aspen! It’s straight out of the ’70s!
The paneling on the outside is in pretty good condition. There may be a few areas that need to be replaced, but for the most part we are re-using and will be stripping it and then painting. The worst of the damage has come from water getting in along the trim lines.
Check out this dark and dreary interior! The plan is to paint the cabinets and probably make some new doors that are more cohesive with a little bit of detail added with new hardware. We plan on keeping the stove and sink, then adding a fun faucet! Either a pretty floral wallpaper or fun tile backsplash!
All of this dark paneling will be painted bright white to reflect all the light and make the space so much warmer and bigger. Both mom and I are excited to pick out some new fabric for the seats. We love fabric! We are unsure of the table top finish. Likely we will leave it as is.
Here’s the bathroom before! Ha. A little portable pot. We have to do some research on this and see what options are available to us in that department.
Mom and I are so excited to bring The Wild Aspen back to life. We know it will be so much work, but can’t wait to get further along. Even picking out exterior lights sounds fun to me!
